BASF recently launched a new one-liter Hydraulan 404 high-quality brake fluid customized for the Chinese auto parts market.
The braking system is one of the most important safety features of a vehicle and therefore needs to meet the high standards stipulated by automobile manufacturers, the automotive industry and automobile safety-related laws and regulations. The viscosity and boiling point of brake fluid determine the performance of the product. The dry and wet boiling points of high-quality brake fluid reach 265 degrees Celsius and 175 degrees Celsius respectively, ensuring the reliability of the braking system. Its low viscosity at low temperatures helps shorten response times and improve safety standards, especially in modern braking systems equipped with advanced functions such as electronic body stabilization, anti-lock braking and traction control. In addition, AiCheAn 404 also contains highly effective corrosion inhibitors and antioxidants to protect the components of the braking system.
Since 2010, as the demand for motor vehicles continues to grow globally, especially in China, the demand for brake fluid has also increased steadily. In order to be closer to the market and customers, BASF opened its brake fluid production facility at its Pudong base in Shanghai in 2013. In December 2012, BASF’s car brake fluid produced in Shanghai passed all certification audits conducted by the standard audit agency Rheinland Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in accordance with the ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard. In addition, BASF has also passed the ISO 14001:2004 standard certification for its contribution to environmental protection in its production processes.
