Recent trends have found gel silicone becoming increasingly popular in reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries. In some surgeries, instead of a large bag of fluid, multiple gel implants are used. Gel implants are smaller and have no risk of rupture or leakage. By shaping multiple implants into one unit, they can produce the same effect as a single block of silicone.
