Cabot Corporation, a world-renowned carbon black manufacturer, announced that it will officially increase the price of carbon black reinforcement materials for rubber sold in North America on June 1.

Prices for all Vulcan, Sterling, Regal, Spheron and Propel carbon black products will increase by approximately 5 cents per pound, except for Vulcan XC-72, Vulcan XC-72 R and Sterling C carbon blacks, a company spokesperson said.
Prices for Black Pearls, Monarch, CRX, Vulcan XC-72, Vulcan XC-72 R and Sterling C carbon black products will increase by 4%.
The American carbon black supplier stated that this is to solve the “continuously rising costs” in manufacturing, environmental protection, packaging and logistics. The increase in product prices is necessary for the company.
