Hard foam full water foaming series
Different from physical foaming agents such as CFC-11 and cyclopentane, water is a chemical foaming agent. During the foaming process, it reacts with isocyanate to form urea and releases CO2 at the same time. The released CO2 remains in the cells to play a role. Foaming effect, so in the process of preparing polyurethane foam, the amount of CO2 released can be controlled by changing the amount of water to obtain polyurethane foams of different densities. Since CO2 is non-flammable and non-toxic, its ozone depletion potential (ODP) value is zero and the entire foaming process is simple to operate, so there is no need to modify the existing equipment in the factory.
Disadvantages of all-water foaming technology
The thermal conductivity of CO2 is high, and the foam insulation performance is poor.
The viscosity of the all-water foaming system is too high and the flow performance is not good.
The diffusion rate of CO2 is too fast, and the dimensional stability of the foam is not good.

The product density of the all-water system is usually above 40Kg/m3, and the thermal conductivity is Coefficient ≥0.026w/mk (25℃), which means that compared with the density of HCFC-141b system products ≥35Kg/m3 or above, the cost will mostly increase by 15%, and the thermal conductivity of full water is difficult to reach the level of HCFC-141b system , especially the long-term thermal conductivity of foam products.
