High-temperature adhesive market overview in 2016
High-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber (HTV) refers to the process in which polysiloxane becomes an elastomer and is vulcanized at high temperatures (110-170°C). It mainly uses high molecular weight polymethyl vinyl siloxane as raw rubber, mixed with reinforcing fillers, vulcanizing agents, etc., and is vulcanized into an elastomer under heat and pressure.
Domestic high-temperature silicone rubber manufacturers are mainly located in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions. The main manufacturers include Jiangsu Hongda and Nanjing Dong Jue, Xin’an Chemical and Zhejiang Hesheng and other companies. In 2016, the demand for HTV in Western Europe, the United States, Central and South America, Central and Eastern Europe, other Asia, Japan, China and other countries and regions increased year-on-year by 3.8%, 3.6%, 0.2%, 2.0%, 5.0%, and 1.1 respectively. %, 8.9%.

Production status
In 2016, my country’s HTV production capacity reached 539,000 tons/year, and the output was approximately 440,800 tons. In 2016, China’s major raw rubber manufacturers saw As shown in Table 1.

In 2016, my country’s liquid silicone rubber production capacity was approximately 59,100 tons/year, with an output of approximately 35,000 tons tons. The major LSR manufacturers in China and their production capacity in 2016 are shown in Table 2.

In 2016, my country imported approximately 20,200 tons of HTV and 3,986 tons of 110 raw rubber, see Figure 2. In 2016, my country’s HTV imports mainly came from Hong Kong, Japan, Italy, Taiwan, Germany, South Korea, etc. The import companies of HTV mainly include rubber products companies and trading companies such as Dongguan Baoshun and WACKER; while the main import companies of 110 raw rubber include large companies such as Blue Star and WACKER. The consumption proportion of high-temperature silicone rubber in various fields in 2016 is shown in Figure 3.

SAGSI predicts that my country’s high-temperature silicone rubber production will reach 473,000 tons in 2017, and the demand will reach 451,000 tons. It is expected that by 2021, my country’s HTV production will reach 580,500 tons, and the demand will be 557,500 tons. The supply and demand situation and product self-sufficiency rate of high-temperature silicone rubber in my country from 2012 to 2016 are shown in Figure 5.
