SILIKOPHEN® AC 950 does not release toxic substances during the curing process, so it can be applied in enclosed spaces. Compared with traditional baking silicone resins, the possibility of smoke formation and volatile organic compound (VOC) content are greatly reduced, which can meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly coating systems.
SILIKOPHEN® AC 950 can be cured at room temperature using a catalyst, which offers many additional advantages. The application shows that before baking and curing, the product already has early resistance to aromatic and aliphatic solvents, and has good impact resistance and anti-adhesive properties.
“Using ovens for high-temperature drying has its natural drawbacks,” explains Kirstin Schulz, marketing director for industrial coatings in Evonik’s Coating Additives business line. “Our room-temperature curing systems can be used on large industrial equipment used in water treatment or power plants. Paint.”
Compared with the classic baking curing system, the room temperature curing system consumes less energy, so it is an easy-to-use and more economical solution for high-temperature resistant coatings.
