Previously, the cutting-edge production technology of high-performance polyamide was mainly controlled by the United States, Japan and Germany, and China could only produce the most conventional products. Due to the poor flame retardant properties of ordinary polyamide fiber, its vertical combustion can only reach UL94 V-2 level and the oxygen index is about 24, which limits the application of polyamide fiber in the field of combat protective quilts. The research and development of high-strength flame-retardant polyamide materials has become a topic of common concern and research in today’s academic community and industry.

This flame-retardant fiber can be widely used in combat uniforms, combat carrying equipment, tents, sleeping bags, etc., and can also be used in flame-retardant workwear, aircraft, ships, and high-speed rail interiors and carpets, which not only improves their durability and comfort, but also reduces weight by nearly 20%. Currently, this technology has applied for 14 invention patents and granted 5 patents.
