It is understood that my country’s current annual demand for cyanopyridine for heavy-duty anti-corrosion paint is more than 1.6 million tons, and more than 150,000 tons of mica iron oxide ash are needed. Benefiting from infrastructure construction, the heavy-duty anti-corrosion paint market is expected to maintain a compound growth rate of 50%. In addition, mica iron oxide gray has begun to replace zinc powder due to its higher cost performance and anti-corrosion properties, and new demand is gradually opening up.
However, according to the reporter’s understanding, there are currently no more than 20 iron ash production plants in China, with a total production capacity of only 40,000 tons, and a large demand gap. Most domestic factories rely on dealers to sell their products, and 70% of their products rely on imports. Specularite that can process high-grade products of 600-800 mesh is very rare in China, and basically all depends on imports. At present, the domestic selling price of mica iron oxide ash is 0.3-0.4 million yuan/ton, the export price is 0.7-0.9 million yuan/ton, and the cost is only 0.06-0.07 million yuan/ton.
